The Interesting Stuff
Maite is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador. She received her Bachelor’s in English language with a minor in translation in 2018 in Ecuador and after that Maite moved to Massachusetts. She has many years of experience educating in her home country before moving to the United States. Maite got her associate degree in December of 2023. Maite also works as a translator for a research magazine for one of the most prestigious universities in South America, ESPOL. Additionally, she worked as an au pair for different families as well as a nanny during her time as a student. Maite taught here in the US for one year before joining us at Montessori Escuela. She is caring and compassionate. As a dedicated educator, her utmost respect for children aligns with the core values of Montessori philosophy. Maite firmly believes that Montessori Escuela provides an exceptional education and nurtures children's independence.
Maite is fully certified in CPR and First Aid and she is working on her Montessori Certification in Early Childhood at IMI (International Montessori Institute Barcelona). In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, learning new languages, sitting in the Public Garden, and watching people getting married in their many cultures while she paints or reads.
